As a celebrant, storytelling sits at the heart of what I do.

My whole life, I’ve been telling stories: through my art, in my jobs and in the children’s books I write.

And now I’m so privileged to be able to bring my skills and energy together to tell REAL stories, stories that matter.

Whether it’s a love story, the story of a family coming together or the story of loved ones lost; words matter, and it’s my job to help create memorable experiences for you that will be treasured, for a lifetime.

As an independent celebrant, I can incorporate a mixture of religious, spiritual, and secular elements, or create a blend of different traditions to suit your background and beliefs.

After all, every ceremony is just a story waiting to be told and together, we’ll find the perfect words.

Funerals, Memorials & Celebrations of Life

My emotional sensitivity writing complex stories for children plays an important role in writing for funerals and celebrations of life, as well as the ability to condense a large amount of information (in this case a loved one’s whole lifetime) into a concise and meaningful story.

We’ll work together to craft a ceremony (for funerals, cremations, burials and memorials) that

helps everyone understand just who this person was, and what they meant to those around

them. I'll help you find the right words that offer comfort without diminishing the pain of grief
and to give a real sense of the legacy left behind.

Naming & Family Ceremonies

When I think about naming ceremonies, I imagine the child as the main character in their own unfolding story, with the ceremony being the most exciting opening chapter. It is a joy to write around themes of identity, belonging and the joy of being welcomed by the world, and together we will articulate your family’s hopes and dreams.

We’ll explore what kind of rituals fit your family's special culture, ones that are simple enough for young siblings to understand and engage with, but profound enough

to pull on the heartstrings of the grown-ups too.
